external image 800px-Yorktown_artillery2.jpgThe Battle of Yorktown was the the last battle of the war. Cornwallis disobeyed an order, He was actually ordered to attack Delaware, Philadelphia. Cornwallis was trapped between Washington's men and the Frances navy. It was like one big cross fire,The American army had more allies then Britain, the Americans had France and Spain and the Brits had African slaves. Washington's men dug a trench while the Brits were sleeping also the lobster backs sank their own ships to stop Frances navy.The lobster backs also couldn't get a lot of supplies because of Frances navy was in the way. After a few weeks of fighting Cornwallis surrendered and the Americans won independence from the British.
